Salary Effective January 1, 2026: $89,265 - $99,265 annually, based on a 56-hour work week. Line staff work a 48/96 schedule. The position is also eligible for education, bi-lingual and holiday bonuses. Medical, dental, and vision insurance is provided, with employee premiums paid 100 percent by the district. Matching defined benefit pension program through FPPA, Paid Time Off (PTO) as well as 115-retirement trust. About Us The Hudson Fire Protection District is an all-hazards agency, providing services to approximately 96 square miles in southern Weld County, Colorado. We are committed to our customers, and it is our goal to provide quality fire suppression, fire prevention, life safety, and property conservation, as well as emergency medical services, rescue and hazmat response to the Town of Hudson, the Town of Lochbuie, and the surrounding rural areas. The district currently has 45 Full-time career employees: 1 Fire Chief, 1 Assistant Chief, 3 Division Chiefs, 3 Battalion Chiefs, 2 Captains 4 Lieutenants, 6 Engineers, 12 Firefighters, 12 single role paramedics and 1 Director of Administration. Responsibilities 1. Complete tasks required to provide effective delivery of fire protection and other emergency services within the district. 2. Any additional responsibilities determined by the Fire Chief, the Board of Directors, and/or the State of Colorado. Minimum Qualifications: • 18 years or older • High School diploma or equivalent • Valid driver’s license • State of Colorado/IFSAC/Pro Board Firefighter I • State of Colorado/IFSAC/Pro Board HazMat Operations • Valid CPAT Certificate • Current State of Colorado EMT (or National Registry) certification • Current CPR • NIMS IS-100, 200, 700 & 800.
