Job Description
Reserve Firefighters support the North County Fire Protection District's full-time suppression staff, particularly during emergencies. All Reserve Firefighters complete an in-house paid training program. The district typically maintains approximately 30 active Reserve Firefighters and actively promotes them to full-time positions.
Requirements: Age 18+, current National Registry EMT or Paramedic Card, current CPAT Card, valid Class C (or better) CA Driver's License, High School Diploma or GED, resident of Tri-County area within 30 minutes of a North County Fire District Station, pass written test, background investigation, drug and alcohol screening, oral interview, and Chief's Interview
