Reserve Firefighter Paramedic

The Pine-Strawberry Fire District is now accepting applications for the position of Reserve Firefighter Paramedic. Starting pay is $20.66 per hour. The shift qualification process may be accelerated depending on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Arizona Driver License (or other US state, as long as AZ license is obtained prior to employment)
- Firefighter 1 and 2 and HAZMAT Operations certifications
- NWCG S-130, S-190, L-180 (unless included in S-130), and I-100 certifications
- Current EMT or CEP certification
- Current CPR certification, and current PALS, ACLS, and PHTLS certifications for CEP's
- Applicants will participate in an oral board interview
- Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check, along with a reference/employment check
- Successful completion of the PSFD Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) (A medical clearance must be provided by the applicant prior to participation.)
- Successful completion of the NWCG Arduous Work Capacity Test (A medical clearance must be provided by the applicant prior to participation.)
- Applicants will also participate in a Chief's interview
