Reserve Firefighter Paramedic

The Pine-Strawberry Fire District is now accepting applications for the positions of Reserve Firefighter EMT and Reserve Firefighter Paramedic. Starting pay for Reserve Firefighter Paramedic is $20.66 per hour. The shift qualification process may be accelerated depending on experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid Arizona Driver License (or other US state, as long as AZ license is obtained prior to employment)
Firefighter 1 and 2 and HAZMAT Operations certifications
NWCG S-130, S-190, L-180 (unless included in S-130), and I-100 certifications
Current EMT or CEP certification
Current CPR certification, and current PALS, ACLS, and PHTLS certifications for CEP's
Applicants will participate in an oral board interview.
Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check, along with a reference/employment check.
Successful completion of the PSFD Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) (A medical clearance must be provided by the applicant prior to participation.)
Successful completion of the NWCG Arduous Work Capacity Test (A medical clearance must be provided by the applicant prior to participation.)
Applicants will also participate in a Chief's interview.
