Coordinates the development of long-term strategic planning efforts among all divisions within the Fire Rescue Department.

Work is performed with considerable independence within established department policies and goals. Work is subject to review by Compliance & Planning Administrator through conferences, reports, and results obtained.

Representative Duties

Coordinates and prepares the Department?s Annual Report.
Monitors and updates the Fire Rescue element of the Comprehensive Plan.
Coordinates and prepares Performance Measurement Reports.
Updates the Department?s Strategic Plan
Provides in depth analysis on statistical information to determine areas where improvement may be desirable to include written communication or presentations on a periodic basis.
Designs, implements, analyzes and provides monthly/quarterly reports of all statistical data to the Department and other governmental agencies.
Receives, researches and responds to inquiries and requests for information relative to Department operations.
Maintains and provides quality assurance of performance data.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree in Public Administration, Planning or a closely related field and two years of planning experience; or an equal combination of relevant education, training or experience.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include extensive experience with Access and Excel.


Awareness of, Oracle databases, and SQL databases.

Experience with ArcGIS and Adobe Creative Suite
