The Town Of Pepperell is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Firefighter/Paramedic and to establish a list for future openings. Duties of the Firefighter/Paramedic: Response to emergency and non-emergency calls including medical emergencies, responding to fires and hazardous material incidents, fire prevention and education, maintenance, cleaning planning, training and office functions as required. The Firefighter/Paramedic is expected to work a rotating twenty-four hour schedule, average 42 hour work week. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma, valid driver?s license. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of 911 experience as a Paramedic and must be able to be credentialed by the service?s Affiliate Hospital Medical Director to work in a Paramedic/Basic system. College level course work highly desirable. Must remain a non-smoker. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently certified Firefighter I/II. Candidates who are not currently certified Firefighter I/II will be required to successfully complete the MFA Recruit program within 12 months of hire. Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of a thorough background investigation, medical exam and physical agility test.
