Requirements

This is an entry-level firefighter position. Under general supervision, this position performs general technical protective service work in the fields of fire suppression, prevention, and emergency medical services. Reports to the Lieutenant ( or other Acting Officer-In-Charge) assigned to the station.

Qualifications
Must be at least 18 year of age at the time of application. No previous experience is required. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Special Requirements
All applicants may be required to complete the following: written exam, physical exam, drug screening, polygraph and criminal background investigation. A valid driver?s license may be required.
Miscellaneous Information
Requires a comprehensive background investigation to include a local, state, and federal criminal history check and sex offender registry check. Requires satisfactory results from a medical evaluation and pre-employment substance abuse screening and is subject to controlled substance testing. Certifications must be maintained for continued employment.
