Requirements

The Woodbridge Fire District is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the position of Fire Fighter Trainee, full-time at $12.00 per hour as of January 1, 2019.

Those interested in applying for the posted position can receive an application from April 29 through May 3, 2019 during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Woodbridge Fire District Station 71, 400 E. Augusta St. Woodbridge, CA or from our website Woodbridgefire.org.

Filing date will close on May 3, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
No applications will be accepted after that date and time.
A complete application must be accompanied by a current DMV printout and copies of certifications meeting established minimum qualifications.

Minimum qualifications for the position of Fire Fighter Trainee are as follows:
? Minimum age of 18 years.
? Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT), within the last 12 months.
? Valid California Driver License with Satisfactory Driving Record. DMV print out required.
? Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
? Able to obtain Firefighter 1 Certificate, within 8 months of employment.
? Applicants will be notified of appropriate examinations dates for written exam. Minimum Acceptable Standard-70%. This will count for 40% of your score.
? Oral Interview, established as 60% for candidate list.
? Department of Justice Background Investigation prior to appointment.
? Physical Examination including drug screening prior to appointment.
? High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
