Volunteer Firefighter

Volunteer firefighter position with DeSoto Fire District 8. Candidates can begin volunteering as young as 15 years old (with parental permission for those under 18). Department provides training in all aspects of fire service including interior firefighting, truck operation, high angle rescue, hazardous materials, and medical training.

Requirements: Age 15+, written parental/guardian permission if under 18, physically able to perform firefighter duties, pass background check (no felony or DUI conviction)
