Volunteer Firefighter and/or First Responder

Volunteer firefighter and first responder position with the Idanha-Detroit Rural Fire Protection District. Responds to fires, motor vehicle crashes, hazardous material spills, traumatic injuries, and emergency medical incidents. Training, uniforms, and protective gear provided at no cost. Sleeping quarters, kitchen, shower and laundry facilities available at fire station.

Requirements: At least 16 years of age, valid driver's license, able to pass criminal background check, insurable through district, able to perform physical tasks as outlined in position

Salary: small monetary stipend to cover the cost of fuel and meals while on shift
