Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic

The Emerald Isle Fire Department seeks dedicated individuals to join as a Full-Time Firefighter/Medic. Performs emergency response, fire suppression, rescue operations, ocean rescue, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and apparatus operations. Works 48-hour shifts with responsibilities including patient care, hazmat response, training, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements: High School/GED diploma, 1-2 years related work experience including 1 year emergency medical care provision, valid NC Class C driver's license, NC Firefighter I/II certification within 12 months, NC or equivalent Paramedic certification, Hazardous Materials Operations level certification within 12 months, ACLS/PHTLS/PALS certification, ability to obtain NC Fire Inspector I within 24 months, heavy physical exertion capability (lifting up to 100+ pounds)

Salary: Hiring rate $61,108. Salary range: $64,163 - 90,440
