Full Time Airport Firefighter, Morristown Airport, Morristown NJ. 

Seeking Qualified Candidates! Applications are currently being accepted by Rural/Metro Fire Dept. for a full-time Airport Firefighter in Morristown, NJ with a passion for aviation firefighting and a demonstrated commitment to cultivating a positive, collaborative work environment.

Rural Metro - Morristown has five full-time firefighters including the Chief and four part-time employees assigned to the operation.  Our shifts are 12 Hour shifts. Day shift is 0700-1900 and night shift is 1900-0700.

Minimum Certifications

The Firefighter will have and maintain the following firefighting certifications through either the State of New Jersey, IFSAC or ProBoard:

• NFPA 1001 - Firefighter I AND II
• NFPA 1003 -Airport Firefighter
• NFPA 472 - Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations Level
• New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician -Basic or National Registry EMT-B or Certified Emergency Medical Responder.
• CPR/AED certification at the Healthcare Provider level
• National Incident Management courses 100, 700, and 800
•  “I-200 ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action
  Incidents” (Classroom-Instructor led course)

All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment and annual physical exam, drug test and extensive background check.
