The Training Coordinator is responsible for assessing, developing, and delivering technical fire
suppression and prevention training across Rural Metro Fire (RMF) sites nationwide. This role
ensures training programs are tailored to site-specific needs and aligned with RMF standards and
client expectations. The Coordinator will work closely with Site Fire Chiefs and RMF leadership to
maintain compliance, effectiveness, and consistency in training delivery. This role requires regular
travel to RMF operations nationwide. RMF will coordinate all travel logistics and cover related
expenses. While the standard assignment is one week per month, scheduling flexibility may be
considered based on operational needs and candidate availability, with prior approval from RMF
leadership.

Position Essential Functions
● travel to RMF sites across the U.S., requiring overnight hotel stays
● meet with RMF and client management to assess site-specific training needs
● customize and deliver technical training programs in fire suppression and fire prevention to
on-duty crews
● assist site Fire Chiefs with:
o developing, coordinating, and implementing training schedules
o creating and managing training content via Vector Solutions
o enforcing departmental rules, regulations, and procedures during training sessions
● attend monthly regional staff meetings
● maintain strong communication with RMF leadership and site personnel to ensure training
effectiveness and compliance
Position Qualifications
● NFPA Fire Instructor II certification required
● NFPA Fire Officer I certification or higher required
● minimum of 5 years of Chief Officer or Instructor experience in all-hazard service delivery
● demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training and development programs
● excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships
across all levels of the organization.
● strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
● proficiency in Vector Solutions and FirstDue reporting programs
● proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
