The Sales Representative (Direct-to-Consumer) will be responsible for generating new revenue by
selling the company’s Wildfire Home Protection (WHP) plans directly to individual homeowners, HOA
programs, and community associations in wildfire-prone areas in California and markets in other
Western States. This role is essential to building market share, increasing brand recognition for
Capstone Fire & Safety Management and ensuring homeowners’ and associations’ satisfaction.
The sales representative will manage the full consumer sales cycle, from lead generation and
qualification through closing sales of wildfire protection services in the WHP plan and HOA program,
primarily focused in California markets within 100 miles of Capstone Fire and Safety Management
stations with a sales cycle, in the case of WHP, that can be completed in hours or days, allowing for
immediate success. A key metric of success will be the enrollment and retention of homeowners'
memberships through autopay in the WHP plan and association renewals in the HOA programs,
ensuring a steady long-term book of business. As the program proves successful, the program will
broaden markets in other Western States.

Position Essential Functions
● Proactively engage in outside and inside sales activities focused on direct-to-customer
markets within Capstone’s wildfire protection service areas in California, targeting properties
within 100 miles of the company and then more broadly in other Western State markets as
the program expands
● Generate, qualify, and convert leads into paying homeowners using a mix of outbound calls,
digital engagement, community wildfire safety events, and referrals, leveraging a rapid sale
cycle that can close in hours or days
● Generate, qualify, and convert leads into paying associations using a mix of outbound calls,
digital engagement, homeowner association events, and referrals
● Develop and implement consumer-focused sales strategies designed to meet or exceed
assigned revenue goals for the wildfire protection plans and HOA programs, promoting
autopay memberships, re-enrollments for WHP plans, and renewals for HOA programs
● Conduct needs assessment with prospective homeowners and HOAs to match wildfire
protection services, including home inspections, long-term fire-retardant applications, 24/7
monitoring, and professional fire response to individual and/or HOA property risk and needs
● Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that effectively communicate
the value of Capstone's proactive wildfire protection and response services and HOA
programs, emphasizing preseason preparation, ego-safe retardant applications, dedicated
firefighting crews, and the convenience of autopay memberships
● Negotiate and close sales agreements in a professional and timely manner for annual
protection plan subscriptions, ensuring re-enrollment and autopay for seamless renewals for
WHP plans and renewals for HOA programs
● Maintain accurate and detailed records of leads, activities, and opportunities in the CRM
system, including tracking autopay membership re-enrollments and HOA program renewals
● Meet regularly with sales leadership to review pipelines, refined strategies, and align with
Capstone's mission to provide proactive wildfire protection
● Stay informed on wildfire risk, regional fire history, industry trends, competitor offerings, and
consumer behaviors to adjust approaches accordingly
● Build and maintain long-term homeowner and HOA relationships to drive referrals and
repeat business for annual renewals of protection plans, supported by the reliability of
autopay memberships
● Consistently represent the organization in a professional, ethical, and homeowner-centric
manner aligned with Capstone's commitment to safety and preparedness
● Meet or exceed individual and team activity metrics, sales quotas, and homeowner
satisfaction standards
Position Qualifications
Required:
● Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent
work experience
● 1-3 years of direct-to-consumer or B2C sales experience, preferably in home protection,
HOA, insurance, or wildfire-related services
● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a performance-driven
environment
● Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain
technical wildfire protection services clearly to homeowners and HOA stakeholders
● Core competencies for this position include results-oriented, business acumen, persuasion,
influence, problem-solving, organizational skills, presentation skills, and team collaboration
Preferred:
● Advanced experience with Salesforce CRM platform, including custom objects, reporting,
email campaigns, and automation features
● Strong understanding of wildfire home protection and mitigation solutions, technologies, and
industry best practices
● Knowledge of fundamental fire science principles and how they apply to residential fire
protection
● Familiarity with Firewise Communities program guidelines and implementation strategies
● Working knowledge of CAL FIRE recommendations for home hardening and defensible
space requirements
● Understanding of wildfire risk assessment methodologies and mitigation planning
● insurance industry knowledge, particularly as it relates to wildfire risk assessment,
underwriting, and claims processes
Position Conditions
● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use
hands and arms to operate office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to
25 lb, such as marketing materials or equipment for community events. Vision abilities required
include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
● This position requires moderate travel with the assigned region in California, within 100 miles of
Capstone's stations, and more broadly, in Western State markets, as the program expands, to
meet with prospective and existing homeowners and/or HOAs at their properties or community
events to discuss wildfire protection needs
● This job operates in a professional office setting and in field environments when meeting
homeowners and HOAs. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers,
and CRM software are routinely used.
